Media

Most media in a Scalar book is not hosted within Scalar itself; instead, Scalar stores metadata — titles, descriptions, author and publisher information, URLs and more — about media which is hosted elsewhere.

What Media Sources can I Import From?

Affiliated archives (See Importing Media from Affiliated Archives)
Other archives (See Importing Media from Non-Affiliated Archives)
Files and URLs (Upload local files or link to online media)
- For guidance in finding online media, check out Carleton's Gould Guide to Media for Reuse

Importing Media

Hover over the import icon on your Scalar header bar
Select your desired media source from the dropdown to open its import page
Follow the instructions to import the chosen media
